Tired...

Well the couch has become my new best friend... Ava has colic and she seems to like to sleep in her carseat but the second I try and take the carseat upstairs we're awake and crying and generally in a bad mood. It's interesting to say the least, life is quickly becoming very tiring, and I thank god everyday that I have Jon. When I start to drop off he's right behind me to take over... So we're slowly getting a rythm down

Been a while....

I have been pooped!! It's been kinda crazy around our house with Ava 6 weeks away, so Jon and I have been hard at work getting the house ready for her and getting Lexi enrolled in school, it's been a ride. Lexi's been so excited about everything I think she's gone into overload! Ava's room is done and we've got a little space in our room for her bassinet too, plus the baby shower went great! I couldn't have been more thrilled with everything!I'm still running a week big with Ava but the doctor hasn't changed my due date, but the 21st isn't so, we're all just ready to have her here to cuddle.

We did baby waves at 28 weeks and this is what Ava look like...

Needless to say we were amazed!!! I think she looks a lot like Jon, she's got his nose and the little dip in her upper lip just like he does, but she does look alot like her big sister did when she was born. I need to update a belly picture too, Jon says she's making me bigger everyday and he's so ready to hold her, he's been telling my belly every night before bed that he loves her and is ready to kiss her chubby cheeks and let her sleep on his chest... how cute is that?

Hopefully belly pics will be up soon, but for now that's all!!

Bracing oursselves....

Alot has gone on since the last post... We had our Ultrasound and are excited to Welcome Baby Sister into the house! Yes, baby sister... Lexi wasn't too happy but soon got over it and tells everyone that Baby sister Ava is in mommy's tummy.
Yes, Ava Lynne should be here around the end of september... but after all the excitement of the news of our new baby girl, another round of layoffs hit and this time we were not so lucky, Jon will be out of a job come the end of June. We've slowly been putting money back and saving up for possible time he may not be working , but we've got our hopes up that he will find something soon and hope it won't be a huge pay cut for him...
Wish us luck!!!

Birthdays

Friday was My birthday and as a treat Jon and I went out saturday night to a wonderful little resturant called Tommy's... I was in Heaven!!!! Lexi got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Haynes for a couple of hours and we got to enjoy a "grown up" dinner alone and I have to say that was the best birthday dinner I have had in a LONG time... By the way if you go to Tommy's you MUST have the Veal parmesan, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We also got to have the best peice of Cherry Cheesecake too but moving on from the food... Jon worked there as a teenager for I don't know how many years and the owner (Tommy) was thrilled to see us and say hi again, also the owners son and daughter work there and they took the time (it was starting to die down) to sit with us and giggle about old school day memories (ask Jon about the Pickle story sometime, it's great). None of the girls thought I was only 4 months, they thought I was due this summer which is now starting to make me wonder how big lil bean is going to get! Lexi was TINY and I had her rather fast...I will be VERY ready to have the ultrasound!

After we got back to pick up Lexi Jon's parents had a mini party for her and I, they're not going to be here over the next weekend, and his parents got me the greatest set of maternity clothes I have ever worn! I've been talking for weeks about getting a set and haven't done it (they can get really expensive) plus TONS of little baby things, Grandma Haynes hit the jackpot on the close-out rack and found TONS of Classic Pooh Bear baby gear. Blankets, oneies, bibs, all the good stuff! Plus Lexi even got a new swimsuit and summer outfit for her gift! We were both very happy.

Lexi's Birthday is next week and I think as her birthday present Jon is taking her to the toy store and getting her a boat lego set (this is all she has been talking about for like2 weeks now, how legos are so cool and all the things they can make) but she gets to pick 1 set that she wants to build with him. We'll see what happens in that department soon, update again soon!

More news...

Went to the doctor yesterday and they set up our ultrasound for April 27th, he would've waited a little longer BUT... I'm measuring 2 WEEKS BIGGER than normal at 19 weeks instead of 17, They keep hearing only one heartbeat (even though everyone else thinks there is another one hiding in there) and this week little bean's was a steady 152, running a lot faster than big sisters was when she was this age! So we'll find out in a couple weeks!!

We're all really excited! anyways, hope everyone had a happy easter!! Here's a few pics of Lexi enjoying her easter!

Snow/Ice day!!!!

Well we woke up this morning to the wind howling and little sleet balls hitting our windows! The weather is predicting up to 10 inches of snow... SNOW tonight and tomorrow! Well by the time noon rolled around we had about 1/3 inch of ice on the road, and our phone rings... and it's Jon manager! "Hey Carlos, what can I do for you?" says Jon.
"They canceled second and thrid shift today and all saturday work, you can stay home we'll input the time on monday."
"Sounds find to me, what time do I be there on monday?"
"Everyone is going to be here 7am, and the guys that got notices got a 30 day extension, they'll be here too"

We were thrilled!! We're planning a warm yummy dinner and a fire in our fireplace tonight! Nothing like a good cuddle infront of a warm fire and a wonderful man rubbing your (big) tummy!

Bump Pics finally!

Finally got the camera connected to the laptop and it's time for the baby belly to be shown far and wide...This was right about six weeks, the sign said Happy Birthday daddy since we took it on Jan 21st!

And this is 14 weeks... I THINK I AM HUGE!!! I was about this big with Lexi right under 6 months, plus I only gained 30 pounds with her, I've already packed on 10 pounds with little one here. Jon is loving "the bean" bump, We're supposed to find out what gender the baby is the middle of April and until then we call the baby "bean". Lexi was munchkin so we only felt right giving this one a nickname too... we do have names picked out but we're not going to let them out of the bag until we found out what the "Bean" is.

We're also nearing the deadline for the layoff notices from January to kick in on March 31st. Which means one of two things, Jon will be the only person on second shift OR ( this is the worst in my views) they will be moving him to 1st. If they move him to first then he's going to take a (small) paycut... don't get me wrong I AM THRILLED that he still has a Job BUT with only one income and a new baby on the way every little penny helps!

So that every little penny counts I took into account and had a garage sale! All the old Lexi clothes went out the door and some friends of our even donated items to the 'make room for baby" sale! We neted almost $200!!! I was thrilled!! We paid a couple things and I admit it I took Jon and Lexi for a dinner at one of our favorite placed to chow down!! OLD CHICAGO!! If you haven't gone there you must go NOW!! I had the most wonderful chicken salad, italian nachos and cheesey garlic bread (all BIG portions so they were shared with Jon and a little with Lexi) While Lexi had a kiddy bowl of spagetti with meatball (it was huge)!!

In other news the nursery/playroom, thanks to the garage sale, is now almost totally cleaned out!! I'll post pics of this later, the camera isn't liking me right now, mostly because I'm not feeding it batteries! Anyways, Lexi is saying she is hungry and I'm starting to agree! Off to be super mom!

12 Week Check up!

Baby is big from what the dr says. Not big enough that he thinks there is more than 1 but just big enough to know it's probabily going to be bigger than Lexi was. Baby is also sitting lower than what Lexi was, according to the old wives tales that says you're having a boy. Jon's also been calling the baby 'he', and I admit so have I, he said he had a dream not too long ago about playing with his little man... He even said something about he had really dark curly hair. But we're not holding our breath if we have a girl more fun for big sister to dress her up LoL. Baby's heartbeat was a steady 165 and will be heading back in the begining of April then 2 weeks after that we get our next ultrasound and will hopefully find out what the baby is! YEAH!!! Will post again soon!

Fighting off a nasty cold or something!

Well here a couple weeks ago Lexi caught a little cold and the two of us managed to get past that without catching anything but we paid for it the end of this week. Wednesday Jon started to have issues with his sinuses and being the trooper he is took it all in stride, in my experience most men are babies when they get sick but He is the TOTAL opposite! I love this man more everyday!! He went to work and came home with a low grade fever, and my mommy mode set in, I whipped out the Tylenol and cups of water and set up a lukewarm shower one day for him... he loved it, and after fighting it for almost 2 days he came out on top... but my mommying of the man of the house has now bit me in the butt.... I am stuffed up, and coughing so hard it's starting to upset my stomach... Jon is spoiling me rotten, I've really started getting my appetite back today and Jon treated me by getting me a Whopper jr. from burger king.... boy do i love this man.... anyways, hit 12 weeks pregnant today have Dr. appt tommorrow and I'm losing my mind with the normal mommy worries and Jon is taking it all with a grain of salt, telling me everything is okay. We'll see tomorrow! Update again soon!

Big news!!

Well, it's offical the Haynes family will have a new member of the family around September 21st!! That puts the baby at about nine weeks! Lexi is very excited as has been telling everyone how she's going to be a big sister and going to have a baby brother.... we cannot convince her otherwise, even though at this point we have no clue what gender the baby is. Jon is Thrilled and spilled the beans at work pretty fast which brought a little cheer to the gloom that surrounded that week.... all of second shift got laid off except for Jon, he had enough seniority that he was able to keep his spot but will probabily be going to first shift soon. Plus we found out that I have something called SCH, a subcorionic hemorrage. Which is a blood clot where the placenta pulled away from the wall.... it's not big but could cause problems so the doctor is keeping an eye on it. But the first Dr appt little bean was doing just fine about the average size for the age and a strong heartbeat at 176 bpm. YEAH LITTLE BEAN!!

Monster trucks!

Lexi decided that for our family weekend she wanted to go see monster trucks. Of course we were shocked, a 3 year old little girl wants to go see monster trucks?? Well we got ear plugs and off we went!!

Lexi and Jon relaxing before the show starts. She was styling with purple ear plugs. That is her favorite color by the way.

This was Lexi's favorite car, Bad habit. She had a blast watching it jump over cars and do you notice what color it has on it?

Jon got Lexi a checkered flag and when her car was up she went nuts. She was kind of mad in this picture because her car wasn't up. Anyways we had a wonderful time and will probably go back the next time they're in town.

Crossing our fingers....

Well we got more bad news when it comes to the jobs here.... Jon's work is talking about upwards of 1500 people being laid off. He missed the last round lay offs, we were very lucky and happy that he still had a job. We don't know what's gonna happen this time around though we can only hope and pray that we'll be looked after.

Preschool is how much??

Well it's time to start thinking about putting munchkin into preschool.... beleive it or not they start accepting applications the 2nd week in march. We started looking into it with a school teacher friend of ours this past weekend and we decided that we want to do a 3 day school week for her and it was shocking how much that can cost one school here in town cost $295 dollars A MONTH!! We nearly spit out the soda we were drinking! The cheapest was $95 so we at least were able to find a happy medium and the place we picked even does field trips.

It's hard to beleive that Lexi was once like this....

And this is the munchkin now.....

I'm going to be beating boys off of her with a stick someday......

What a way to start the new year....

Our new year started with a bang... our little one started out new years eve by saying her ears were 'hiccupping' or popping in toddler terms. Then this morning she woke up and her poor little left eye was matted with 'yucky stuff'. Take her to doctor, or the immedate care clinic here and she has pink eye... not only that the doc looked in her ears and behold she has an ear infection... so eye drops and liquid meds for the little munchkin. Oh well, can only get better from here!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
