School is done for this momma!! Celebrate with Disney on ice!
I'm done! Officially done!! I have a possible job offer lined up already and to celebrate we took the girls to disney on ice!!! YAY!! The girls had so much fun, we also surprised the girls a few weeks ago and told them we will be going to disney world this fall. Ava still doesn't get the whole idea of it but when we told her she was going to meet mickey and minnie mouse, along with quincy and june (they are from the disney junior show little Einsteins). I bought the tickets early through a presell email that I got from being a disney live email list person (I honestly have no idea what you call it LoL) and was thinking I got good seats, turns out they were rink side!! THE KIDS ABOUT LOST IT THEY WERE SO EXCITED!!! Ava didn't get it until mickey skated right up to us and gave the girls a high five. Then that's all she would talk about! If you get a chance to see a disney on ice show, do it!

The joys of home ownership....
I Honestly have a love hate relationship with our house and the appliances in it. There is a saying that no matter what, good or bad things, they come in 3's. Well that hit us FULL FORCE not too long ago and 3 of our appliances went out in a matter of about 3 weeks... First the dryer, then the stove started dying, and then our vacuum, so much for money in the disney account and we still owe... crossing fingers still.

NO MORE LAY OFFS!!! HORRAY!!!
School has been going well, I've been fairly happy with my grades and Jon OFFICALLY got hired on and although it's not exactly where we want to be it is much better than where we were.
Coupons have actually kept me sane (chuckle) or as sane as the mother of 2 can be. I'm averaging about 30% savings and I'm becoming REALLY good at ad matching. I'm ready to be 100% done with school and hoping things kick into gear soon, we are trying to save up to surprise the girls with a trip to disney world, which seems to be near impossible at this point. Grandma seems excited enough she wants to go too!! I will hopefully be posting updates as they come up.
Most recently we've had not one, not two, BUT THREE appliances go out on us in the past month. First was the dryer, then the stove, now the vacuum, this depleted out disney fund and then some! We're surviving though will post again soon hopefully

New start?
The past couple of weeks have been crazy, Jon got a job thru a temp agency and it will hopefully be full hire on after 90 days, and lots of overtime so it will be nice to catch back up!! I start school in few weeks and hopefully in a years time I will have a new job and we will both be owning it! Maybe by then I'll be able to change the title of my blog :-)
So maybe this will turn into money saving momma's home page, that would be fun!

Ugh....
So life these past few days have stunk! Jon had a massive panic attack and after his manager said and I quote "You aren't worth more than the Job you are doing, and you need to be happy with what you have." Jon said forget this and quit. I was very proud of him for standing up for himself, but it's been stressful.
On top of everything Ava bonked her chin good enough that she had to go to the ER and has stiches in her chin.
The fun never ends!!

Cookie time and the savannah smiles??
So cookie time is nearly upon us again and I again am the cookie manager (you think itz bad having just one box sitting in your house, try having 1000+ and none of them are yours T-T)
I enjoy it A LOT! The girls have tons of fun and the trip we earn at the end of the year is to build a bear workshop! They love it and the more they sell the more they get to get for their bears.
A little known fact is that the girl scouts cookies are actually made by 2 different bakeries! I didn't have a clue until I started leading the troop last year... the only thing that sucks is if one bakery starts making a new cookie and the other doesn't it turns into a mess of the other councils that don't use that bakery. This year it is us that didn't get the new cookie, the Savannah Smile (named after the birth place of the girl scouts in Georgia).
I still haven't decided what I think of this powdery lemon wedge lookin' thing.... Lemonades are a must buy in our house every year (my dad bought 8 boxes of them last year alone, we bought 2) I generally swap a box of cookies with a troop I know from another council that gets stuff from the other bakery BUT I probabily won't this year.
Also if you're out there reading this and want cookies comment on the post and I'll contact you where they go on sale :-)
